Message From the Athletic Director

Dear Supporters of Country Day Athletics,

On behalf of the athletes and coaching staff at Charlotte Country Day School, we thank you for all your efforts in helping make our athletic program successful. The needs of our student-athletes are being met as a result of your valued support.

Athletics is an integral part of the total educational program at Charlotte Country Day. Our departmental theme for 2007-2008 is:

Bucs Athletics: “Setting the Bar”

Continuing to develop leadership traits and skills among our student athletes is a primary goal. While there are many ways one may describe effective leadership, certainly, proactivity is the essence of leadership at all levels. Through our leadership training, students learn to convey their value systems, attitudes, and behaviors when they are faced with difficult choices in both the school and non-school setting.

Our athletic program is inclusive as well as being highly competitive. Students with varying abilities are provided opportunities to participate. Our work on behalf of our children is invaluable in their development as young adults.

We encourage you to come and support our teams during the 2007-2008 athletic season.
