About the Middle School

The Middle School is an exciting place to be. It is home to grades 5–8 and is located on Bissell Campus, a separate campus approximately four miles from the Upper and Lower School Cannon Campus. We have our own special program and facilities that address the needs of the Middle School student. Academic, social, and emotional development are hallmarks of the Middle School program. A full-time guidance counselor works in the classroom setting as well as in small groups to help students become confident, self-reliant learners and problem solvers. Grade coordinators work closely with faculty to implement age-appropriate experiences. Every child is assigned to an advisory group that provides guidance and opportunities for both academic and personal growth.

The Middle School offers many special learning experiences that have been designed for our students as they journey through early adolescence.
